Should You Start a Non Profit?

Creative risk takers hold the key to a better future. If you've got the passion to go for it we're ready to help. Fresh ideas and real committment are always at the heart of authentic change.

Gotta make sure you're ready to take the plunge, though.

Take a look at the questions below. Are you good to go?

Can you explain it?

No need for formal detail but you should be able to describe what you want to do in a few sentences or paragraphs.

Do you have the desire to get it done?

If you wonder whether you have all the skills or experiences to do it successfully, that shouldn't dissaude you. You can develop those skills and experiences and we can help you get there. But if you don't have a real passion for your vision then don't get started.

Will your project do some real good for others?

If you can't clearly identify how your project will create a concrete 'value added' for some specific people, probably better to wait until you've figured that out.

Can you demonstrate the need for your services?

Are there groups already providing those services in the community you care about?

Do you have some partners?

Important social change often begins with one passionate person with a good idea. But before you decide to start a new effort, make sure you have a few partners committed to helping you succeed.

How will you pay for it?

Don't be discouraged if you can't identify lots of potential financial supporters right away. Creating a financial foundation for your new work can be done in many ways. But it helps, before you start, to identify a few sources of initial support that can get you off the ground.

We're all about helping creative people get it done. Every new effort is unique and we know one size definitely doesn't fit all. We want to help you make a good decision. If you want to talk more about starting your own nonprofit or project, get in touch with us.
