Harvard Law School Christian Fellowship Alumni Association (HLSCFAA)

The HLSCFAA has been the alumni organization for Christian alumni of Harvard Law School for 30 years. We support each other through prayer and fellowship, as we all try to navigate the practice of law as Christians. We also support the on-campus Harvard Law School Christian Fellowship through mentorship and prayer. The HLSCFAA has grown to over 900 members during that time spanning from the class or 1968 to recent graduates, united in our commitment to Christ and service through the legal profession.
 
We serve alumni of the Harvard Law School Christian Fellowship. Our organization is the only group specifically and exclusively targeting Christian HLS alumni. Our members practice law across diverse settings—from solo practitioners to BigLaw partners, from government service to nonprofit advocacy—and are united by their commitment to Christ. Some face financial constraints due to public interest legal work or family circumstances, making financial support for the retreat particularly meaningful.

We have held approximately 13 retreats for our alumni over those years. Through our gatherings, members encourage one another in integrating faith and legal practice, fostering both spiritual growth and professional excellence in service to God's kingdom. These gatherings are transformative experiences where lawyers from diverse practices settings--from the public interest advocacy to corporate law--encourage one another in integrating faith and professional excellence. However, the cost of attendance can be prohibitive for members in lower-paying legal positions or facing family financial constraints.
 
Our goal for this charitable project with Visions Made Viable is to enable members to make tax-deductable charitable contributions in support of HLSCFAA activities, primarily our bi-annual retreat held Labor Day weekend of even-numbered years in northern Virginia, as well as occassional regional gatherings.
 
By enabling our members to make charitable contributions, we hope this will help encourage contributions to support the retreat. It will allow us to reduce/eliminate retreat expenses for those in our group who are less well off financially.
