Real Talk Africa

Empowering Individuals for Freedom, Purpose and Impact in Africa.

RealTalk by Elizabeth Good is a Christ-centered mentorship and growth program that helps individuals align their identity with God’s truth. Through scripture-based teaching, open dialogue, and guided reflection, participants are equipped to heal emotionally, strengthen their faith, and walk confidently in their God-given purpose.

RealTalk is a transformational program and community centered on authentic conversations about difficult topics such as secrets, sexuality, trauma, shame, and healing, with a Christian spiritual focus and emphasis on personal freedom.

Real Talk is an initiative that includes:

Small group discussion groups (Real Talk Groups), typically consisting of 5 sessions, where participants meet in a safe space to share experiences, heal emotional wounds, confront patterns of shame, address harmful cultural practices and discover their purpose.

A curriculum and methodology that can be used in both personal and community contexts to promote transparency, authenticity, and the prevention of deeper trauma.

Objectives and Themes

The focus of Real Talk is:

* To break the silence surrounding taboo subjects, especially those related to difficult experiences and traumas that many carry in secret.

* To create a safe and communal space for people to ask difficult questions, share their challenges, and find support.

* To promote healing and inner freedom, helping participants cope with traumatic pasts and move towards better relationships, purpose, and a sense of identity.

Origin and Basis

Real Talk is linked to the work of Elizabeth Good, author of books such as Speak the Unspeakable: Real Talk on Secrets, Sex, and Being Set Free, which explores how confronting and processing traumatic experiences and hidden secrets can free people from shame and fear.

JD’s Testimony: “I carried a secret for 40 years of my life, which I never shared with anyone. I also had not slept through the night in all those years. Following the ministry of RealTalk, I am able to sleep peacefully through the night and am enjoying a new sense of peace and freedom. I finally feel worthy!”

KJ’s Testimony: “I spent more than 10 years in therapy, but experienced more freedom and understanding in the RealTalk sessions. I have so much hope.”
